Robert E. Lee High School
Phase I of the Robert E. Lee High School (Springfield, Va.) project is now complete. The original Robert E. Lee High School was constructed in the mid 1950's. Fairfax County Public Schools determined that the 279,287 square foot building was not able to meet the current Educational Specifications. Phase I of the projects was completed in 1999, and focused on renovation of the science instructional and preparation areas.

Phase II of the project is comprised of a comprehensive modernization with additions to the school. The proposed scope of work includes additions for classrooms and a new Media Center. The final construction documents were prepared taking into consideration the necessity to implement the project in stages so the school can remain in full operation during construction. Phase III is set to start in 2003. Below is a drawing of the proposed Lee High School elevation.
